Our Solar System
In space there's a system we call our home
It's the Solar System, as it's more widely known
It's made up of planets large and small
And each one's it's own orbitting ball
First up is Mercury, closest to the sun
It's small and fast, with views that would stun
Next is Venus with thick, hot air
It's covered in clouds, which makes it quite rare
Earth is third, we're all right here
It has water, life, and an atmoshpere,
Mars is fourth, with a rust-colored hue
It's known for its canyons and mountains, too
Jupiter's fifth, the largest of all
It's got many moons though some are quite small,
Saturn's sixth, with its famous rings
It's truly a sight to see them gleam
Uranus is seventh, with a tilt so strange
With ice-covered moons and diamond rains,
Neptune's eighth and the furthest one out
With the strongest winds in the system, no doubt
That's our solar system in all its glory,
Each planet's unique, and has it's own story
Remember their names, and you'll surely know
The planets around our spherical home.
