The Unsolved Case

It was quite early in the morning. I was driving the car. The fog on the road was making me slow. I was mad. I have no idea why I am in such a bad mood. It is because I am inebriated. I was drinking last night with my friends on the beach. I was driving too fast.

Good bye, "Tommy." I will be home at 6 p.m.

I nodded my head and likely opened my eyes before hitting the lamp post. I release the brake. Her farewell is still ringing in my ears.

I was dreaming about my mother.

Everything is fuzzy for me. I kept driving, but a little farther away, I saw the house on my left side. I stopped the car in front of it. I got out of the car and closed the door behind me. I started walking to the main gate of the house. As I reach the door, I start banging on it.

"Open the door," I said.

A minute later, the door opens, and a woman step forward. I look at her and push her aside as I walk inside the house. She is my sister. She has a surprised face, as she does not want me here.

"Where are you going?" Harper asked while following me. She grabs my hand and pulls me close to herself.

I turn my face toward her. I look at her. Let my arm go. I am not here to fight with you. I am just here to find her number, which she left for us. I yell.

She let my hand go. She looks at me. "You better get out of the house before I ask your pal to drag you out of this place," Harper said to me. The kids are sleeping upstairs. I do not want you to wake them up.

I am not in the right mind. I see two in front of me. I pushed her against the wall and went straight to my father's room. I started throwing things around the room. She was trying to seize me. I shoved her onto the bed.

It was here. I saw it in this room. Do you know it is her fault? I had no business being here. She did this to us. "I was hooting."

Harper stands up and grabs my hand. It is no one's fault. It is entirely your fault. Do not drag her into this because I remember when she left us. We were innocent little kids. Look at me; I turned out well. You made bad choices. It brought you here. I would like you to leave right now. This is the last time I am asking. "Get out," Harper instructed.

Harper grabs my hand and drags me out of the house, then closes the door. I was standing there banging at the door for some time. When I did not get any response, I walked downstairs. I saw a man standing on the porch of a Neighboring house, staring at me like I was a lunatic. I looked at him with grumpy eyes and said,

"Do you have anything else to do?" I asked the man who is standing at the porch.

The man suddenly walks inside the house and closes the door behind him.

It is my house" I yelled.

I kept walking and reached for my car. I open the car door and enter the vehicle. I started the car and drove off.

A minute later, I arrived at the police station where I work. I stopped the car in the parking lot and got out of it. As I start walking, I hear a voice that is coming from behind. I looked behind me and saw a man standing in the middle of the road. He was shouting at me. I turned around and started walking toward the police station. I enter the police station, where a man is standing next to the front desk.

I could not recognize his face at first, but when I felt the warmth on my cheek, it opened my eyes completely because I could not stand straight and fall on the ground. At first, I did not know what happened to me, but later I realized that I got slapped on the face by my father. I try to stand up but fall back down. I look up and see that my father is yelling at me.

You did this to yourself. Do not blame me or your mother. I want you to stay away from me and my family. "I am warning you," my father said while throwing a card on the floor. If next time I see you at my house, I will press charges. "Do you hear me?"

Afterwards, he left the police station. A woman enters the hall. I was still on the floor, but at that moment I was feeling much better. There is likely no one present in the police station.

I stood up and bumped into the woman who had earlier entered the hall.

Sorry, I am just feeling dizzy. Tell me how I can help you. I asked her.

She looks at me. "Do you work here?"

I look at her and smile. Tell me what you require."

I would like to talk about the case of Scarlette Pride. "Is there any progress on her case?" the woman asked.

"Are you her family?" I asked her.

She looks down and then looks at me. No, she is my best friend. She disappeared five years ago. "I just want to know if you found any clue about her," the woman said.

I look at her. Well, just go home. " You leave your phone number on the front desk I will get any news. I'll call you."

The woman left, and I went to George's office and asked about the Scarlett Pride case. I took the file he handed me into my office. I started reading the file.

Scarlett vanished on the night of her eighteenth birthday. No one saw her again after she went to bed. The mother filed the missing person report. At the time of her disappearance, she was living with her father, but her mother had stayed with them because of her eighteenth birthday.

So, they did not find any foul play. I stare at her photograph for a minute. I will solve this case. "I will find her."

I feel something in my head. I lift my head slightly and look up. I found Detective Amara in my office. She was staring at me.

Are you okay? Tommy "I had heard about your confrontation with your father," Amara explained.

I lean back against the chair. I look at her. I rub my eyes with my hands and stretch my arms.

"Well, tell me what this file is doing on your table." Amara asked.

Her friend had come earlier this morning to inquire about the status of the case. "I never heard of this case," I said to her.

There are so many cases in the storage facility like this one, but you never heard about them. "If you ask me, it is no different from any other teenage girl's case," Amara said.

"What do you mean?" I asked. "Whatever, now on, I'll handle the case and solve it," I said.

"Don't say things you can't do because you are pretty bad at commitment," Amara said while walking out of the room.
