Solar energy benefits:

In today's economic climate most households and businesses are looking for ways to minimize their electricity costs. With an imminent national carbon tax and rising electricity costs, power companies will be forced to pass increases to consumers.

Almost everything related to daily living requires energy – refrigeration, heating, air-conditioning, lighting, hot water, food preparation and production of goods and services. Today the technology offered by solar power not only has a huge financial saving from onsite power production but also has a positive impact on the environment by reducing carbon output.

Going solar is also the best option to cope with the demand rising populations place on energy production and infrastructure. Commercial and domestic solar systems offer the opportunity to choose an alternative energy source that can be sustained into the future - solar installations offer simplicity, safe operation and low annual maintenance.

In summary:

1) Solar energy is a clean and sustainable source of energy that can be used for electricity, heating, cooling, and lighting.

2) Solar energy use can significantly reduce utility payments and dependence on energy companies as it allows households and businesses to produce their own power.

Financial Matters:

Excess energy produced by a solar system can be measured and fed into the supplier grid and rebated back to the customer via a credit to their electricity account. The rebates vary state to state. In addition, domestic consumers who have a solar system installed and reduce their operating costs are also increasing the value of their property. The government is promoting renewable energy by offering consumers rebates and feed-in tariffs as incentives to move toward solar power production.

Unlike fossil fuels, solar energy doesn't produce the harmful pollutants responsible for increasing the greenhouse effect which leads to global warming. Homeowners and businesses are going 'solar' to save money and the environment. It's that simple.
