Farewell

Angel. These salted drops,
they taste of final.
Angel. This long embrace,
it feels the last .

Angel. Your broken voice,
it sounds of ending.
Angel. Your healing wings,
are now to fly.

A thousand years we lived,
and saw great pains and mysteries.
A thousand joys we had,
they came and left like passing friends.

A thousand crafts we built,
with hopeful hands and wishful hearts.
A thousand times we cried,
those tears now end here in our arms.

Angel...
farewell...
a thousand smiles await you.

The End

Meet the author

Cristian Orellana In search of sanity and peace. I write short poems, they give me solace and happiness. Rather dark and cryptic, I do hope they connect with someone. I am an amateur writer, and I hope to improve the more I write and learn. Thank you for reading. I also do some instagraming, look for me as @chirimantecman.
