I felt your trembles last night,
Soft as you are powerful.

In my arms I felt them,
Like the rhythm of distant tribes.

I heard your quiet moan,
Barely the crack of a twig.

I heard it through my chest,
The roar of lions in another world.

I noticed the way you held me,
A shy cry for warmth.

Like feathers on my back,
You pulled me gently closer.

Though distant, silent and hidden,
I saw your need of me.

A screaming symphony of trust,
Covered in our pains and passions.

Meet the author

Cristian Orellana In search of sanity and peace. I write short poems, they give me solace and happiness. Rather dark and cryptic, I do hope they connect with someone. I am an amateur writer, and I hope to improve the more I write and learn. Thank you for reading. I also do some instagraming, look for me as @chirimantecman.
